What is B2B lookalike (and why it works)
Lookalike is the most mathematical way to prospect. Instead of guessing "who could be my customer", you use who is ALREADY your customer as a statistical reference and look for companies that match firmographically.
The logic is simple: if 73% of your best customers are real-estate firms in São Paulo aged 8-25 with paid-in capital above BRL 50K, it makes sense to look for more companies with that exact profile before attacking unknown markets.
The real numbers. Well-executed outbound converts at 4-6%. Poorly executed, 0.4%. The difference, in most cases, comes down to how similar the prospects are to the customers you have already closed.

When to use the CNPJ lookalike
1. Scale prospecting from your best customers
Take your top 50 customers (those who pay the most, with the least friction), upload the list and see how many similar companies exist in Brazil. Spoiler: it is typically between 5,000 and 50,000 companies. That is your natural pipeline.
2. Find the market for a new product
Just launched a new product? Have 10 early-adopter customers? Upload those 10 and find out who else in Brazil matches the same profile. Cheaper than market research, more precise than a declared persona.
3. Map indirect competition
Upload CNPJs of companies that sell to the same audience as you. The profile that appears is your real market, regardless of whether you are a direct or complementary competitor.

Methodology: how we detect the ICP
- Weighted aggregation: top industry codes (CNAEs) weighted by count; we use those that cover 70% of your customers.
- Average age: Painless script in Elasticsearch computes the weighted age in real time.
- Median paid-in capital: uses the 50th percentile, not the average (avoids distortion from outliers).
- Dominant states and sizes: top buckets that add up to at least 70% (discards the long tail).
- Real preview: 10 actual white-space companies with public data visible and PII masked.

How does it work technically? ▾
We receive your list, identify each CNPJ in the Brazilian IRS (Receita Federal) database (27M+ companies), aggregate top industry codes (CNAEs), states, sizes, average age and median capital of your customers. Then we cross that profile back into the RFB to find every similar company YOU do not yet serve.
Can I use it to find my customer’s competitors? ▾
Yes. Upload the CNPJs of your customer’s customers. We find equal companies (which the competitor probably also serves) and white-space companies (which nobody has served yet).
Which file formats are accepted? ▾
CSV, TXT and Excel (XLSX). You can paste CNPJs with or without formatting (00.000.000/0001-91 or 00000000000191). It also accepts manual paste in the text field.
Is the data I upload stored? ▾
No. We process in memory and discard within 1 hour. We do not train AI models with your list, do not sell, do not cross-reference with other customers. Logs are anonymous for debugging only.
Does it work for B2C? ▾
No. The tool works with CNPJs (companies, B2B). For B2C customers (individuals), you would need an individuals database. That is not the case here.
